Friday Night Services

On the third Friday of every month, Rabbi Baron produces a magical Shabbat service by infusing art with religion and spirtuality. Services include high-profile and celebrity guest speakers, special performances from musicians, Broadway-quality Cantors and prayer books with all original works of art.

On Friday evening, December 14, 2012 at 8pm, Temple of the Arts, led by Rabbi David Baron, will present a Shabbat Chanukah service at its home, the historical, restored, art-deco Saban Theatre located at 8440 Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills.

The featured guest speaker, Israel Consul General, David Siegel will be in dialogue with Rabbi David Baron. The Consul General will speak on recent crucial developments in the Mideast and will be taking questions on this topic from the audience.

Also joining the service is the A Capella singing group “The Harvard Yardbirds.” The Harvard Yardbirds are a mixed-voice A capella group composed primarily of Harvard alums. Although they are a relatively new group, the Yardbirds have begun to spread their wings, and recently opened for the winners of the Glee Project and Tony winner Andrew Rannells (Book of Mormon, The New Normal).

The service will feature the lighting of the sixth candle of the Chanukah Festival of Lights and will be followed by a festive Oneg Shabbat reception.
